His Eminence, Cardinal Sarah, has communicated to me that, with very much regret, he must postpone his visit to the Monastery previously scheduled for the end of July until a later date due to unforeseen personal reasons which require his presence elsewhere.

Unfortunately this means that he will not be able to participate in the Fifth International Sacra Liturgia Summer School to be hosted by the Monastery from 27 July–8 August.

His Excellency, Mgr Dominique Rey, Bishop of Fréjus-Toulon, has kindly agreed to celebrate a votive Pontifical Mass at the Throne of Saint Mary Magdalene in the usus antiquior for the Summer School during its pilgrimage to the Royal Basilica of St Mary Magdalene in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 1^st.

Whilst regretting that His Eminence will not be with us in July, we look forward to his future visit and are profoundly grateful to Mgr Rey for so readily agreeing to celebrate pontifical Mass for the Sacra Liturgia Summer School.
